Queer Movie Night: Nimona – Friday, May 30 at 6:00pm

SE/CT Traveling Queer Movie Night and members of the Library’s Teen Advisory Board are co-hosting a screening of  Nimona at the Phoebe! All are welcome at this intergenerational event for Teens and Adults.

Queer Movie Night: Nimona Friday, May 30 at 6:00pm. Features the movie cover and book cover of Nimona.

Bring a friend and a cozy blanket/seat. (The library has plenty of chairs, but bring an optional cushion, or camping chair, etc!) Discussion to follow the film, light refreshments provided.

Film summary: Nemeses! Dragons! Science! Symbolism! All these and more await in this brilliantly subversive, sharply irreverent “deadpan epic.” Nimona is an Oscar nominated film adapted from the beloved webcomic turned graphic novel from author N.D. Stevenson. Set in a medieval-futuristic kingdom, this is a tale of shapeshifting identity, acceptance, found family, and a little bit of CHAOS! Nimona is rated PG.

Free, Registration required.
