Join us for a night that includes a live performance, a lecture and music trivia.

Jazz and The Civil Rights Movement with Galen Abdur-Razzaq, master Flutist/Jazz Historian/Educator/Lecturer. Learn how Jazz was an advocate for the Civil Rights Movement, with proceeds from concerts helping to finance major events such as the Freedom Rides and the March on Washington in 1963.

Galen will chronicle music from the turn of the century to present day and highlight various artists, their music, their struggles and their influence on the evolution of jazz.
