Estuary is a magazine all about the Connecticut River, especially its science, past, present and future, presented in pictorial and lay terms. Maddy Lahm grew up in the Lyme/Old Lyme area, graduated with a degree in chemistry from the University of Maryland, is pursuing graduate studies, and was recently on an Australian Research vessel off the coast of Tasmania. Maddy will share with us her personal story and her recent work dealing with the quality of our ocean waters, along with slides. Estuary is proud to introduce Maddy as an illustrious example of how a young person can become involved today in preserving our planet.
