Author Talk & Book Signing with Claire J. Griffin – Wednesday, July 14 at 6:30pm

Join us on the Library patio for a discussion with local author Claire J. Griffin.  Claire will address a time in history when women were expected to be well-behaved.  And what did that even mean?
Belle Boyd who lived from 1844 to 1900, stood out as a woman who scorned rigid rules of etiquette and fashion, and resisted the common practice of using opiates to keep her passive and agreeable. Belle chose to live by her own rules, sometimes with disastrous consequences.

This program is free & open to all – registration required due to limited seating.
Rain date:  same night via Zoom
