We’re celebrating our 125th Anniversary this year!
From as early as 1716, our town has a rich history of wanting a library, then building it, and most of all, keeping it alive. Highlights include the struggle to find a site, hosting early exhibits of the now-famous American Impressionists, leadership from figures with national importance, and so many moments of truth where generous support from the Old Lyme community all combined to make today’s Phoebe one of Connecticut’s leading town libraries.
