“Pride is a 2014 historical comedy-drama based on a true story. The film chronicles the formation of Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign; a group which raises money to help families affected by the lengthy British miners’ strike in 1984. Initially rebuffed by the National Union of Mineworkers, the group identifies a tiny mining village in Wales and sets off to make their donation in person.”
