NLCCARES ( New London County Coordinated Access, Resources, Engagement and Support) will discuss their innovative teamwork that addresses substance use disorder in our community through outreach, education, support , advocacy, and referrals to care. This is a unique team of community health workers from Alliance for Living and Ledge Light Health District that work to reduce stigma, support families of and individuals living with substance use disorder and educate the community on signs of an overdose and how to save a life with naloxone. They will provide training and resources for those that attend.
