Adventure Begins: Children’s June Activities!

Adventure Begins at Your Library!
Pick up your Adventure Begins at Your Library game board on or after June 12!

Each completed activity earns a raffle ticket – use your tickets for a chance to win prizes. Complete the whole board and automatically win a prize. All tickets must be submitted by August 15, 2024.

June Children’s Summer Adventure Programs and Events:

Monday, June 17th at 2:00pm – Adventure Begins with Magic
Join Magician Matt Matthews for a kick off party! Young patrons must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.
No registration required.

Tuesday, June 18th at 10:30am – Adventure Story Time
Adventure Story Time! Bring your own box to get creative with after we read stories about cardboard box adventures! No box? No worries! We will have a wide variety of fun sizes for you to choose from.
No registration required.

Thursday, June 20th at 11:00am – Wee Readers Playgroup
Join Miss Meg for stories and songs, followed by free play! Open to infants and toddlers ages 3 and under.
No registration required.

Friday, June 21st, All Day – Lego Build Day
All day LEGO building fun! Challenges will be available, but we love to see what you create from your imagination!
No registration required.

Tuesday, June 25th at 11:00am – Denison Pequotsepos : Backyard Birding Adventure
Curious about the birds in your backyard? Learn how to use binoculars and identify some of our local birds. Then we’ll make a treat to bring home and feed our feathered friends.

Thursday, June 27th at 11:00am – Wee Readers Playgroup
Join Miss Meg for stories and songs, followed by free play! Open to infants and toddlers ages 3 and under.

Friday, June 28th at 12:30pm – StoryWalk® Dedication & Reception
Join us at the Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center in the Sunken Garden as we celebrate the opening of the new StoryWalk® in memory of Agnes O’Connor. After a brief dedication, participants are invited to join us for refreshments and walk/read the trail featuring In the Tall, Tall Grass by Denise Fleming.
